Donald Trump’s supporters are gloating over a series of legal victories that appear likely to push back the start of his other trials until after the election.
Federal judge Aileen Cannon canceled a May 20 trial date in the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case and postponed it indefinitely while legal issues are sorted out, and a Georgia appeals court agreed to take up an effort by Trump to get Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis, and Newsweek reported that the ex-president’s fans celebrated.
“TRUMP IS WINNING BIGLY EVERYWHERE!” crowed Trump supporter @BehiztTweets to his 145,000 followers on X.
The U.S. Supreme Court will rule soon on Trump’s claim of absolute immunity, and his followers predicted that the quadruple-indicted ex-president’s run of success would continue.
“Literally every case against Trump is running into a brick wall: Fani Willis— CORRUPT Letitia James— CORRUPT Judge Merchan— COMPROMISED Jack Smith— LIAR,” posted podcast host Benny Johnson. “Why? Because these are FRAUDULENT cases are being run by CRIMINALS. And we are exposing them ONE BY ONE.”
Trump has been found liable for sexual abuse, defamation and fraud and penalized nearly a half billion dollars, and he’s currently standing trial for allegedly falsifying business records to cover up a hush money payment to influence the 2016 election, but his fans predict he’ll win re-election and get off scot-free.
“The Florida sham Trump trial is postponed indefinitely, the DC sham trial hangs on the SCOTUS immunity ruling, the Georgia sham trial is heading to appeal for Fani Willis’ disqualification, and even liberals are admitting the New York sham trial is a clown show,” said Greg Price, communications director for the State Freedom Caucus Network.
