Todd Chrisley describes his experience in prison as unpleasant. And he attributes it to his celebrity status.
In a statement released by Todd’s longtime attorney, Jay Surgent, to TMZ, Surgent mentioned that Chrisley has encountered some unusual incidents while incarcerated at FPC Pensacola in Florida. He suspects this is due to Chrisley’s high profile.
Surgent notes that these incidents include allegations of someone taking unauthorized photos of Todd while he was asleep. Furthermore, Todd claims he’s not receiving his mail and suspects it’s being tampered with.
In addition to these incidents, Jay Surgent points out that Todd’s living conditions are subpar. He discloses issues such as faulty plumbing, potential mold, and lack of air conditioning. Allegedly, Todd’s wife Julie is facing similar conditions.
In a recent podcast, Savannah disclosed that her parents have not communicated since entering prison. She mentioned receiving numerous letters from her mother, detailing her prison experience.
While sharing excerpts from these letters, Savannah expressed her mother’s fear and her intention to share the complete letters someday. She highlighted her mother’s efforts to keep busy and stay positive, but suspects she’s withholding certain details to protect them.
Savannah acknowledges that Todd seems to be adapting better to prison life than Julie. She notes their inability to communicate due to prison regulations, emphasizing the strain it puts on their 30-year marriage.
Savannah also laments the negativity her family faces on social media and the difficulty of adjusting to their new reality without her parents’ daily communication.
