Ozzy Osbourne’s Latest Health Update

Ozzy Osbourne received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease in 2003, though he chose to keep his illness private until 2020. Recently, Osbourne’s health has seen a significant decline.

During an episode on his SiriusXM station, Ozzy Speaks, Osbourne disclosed his recent health setback. He revealed that due to blood clots in his legs, doctors inserted a filter in his artery to prevent them from traveling to his heart or brain. Despite having the filter removed recently, his health struggles persist, leading to a series of disappointments.

Although he admits to being “in constant pain,” Osbourne expressed his efforts to avoid relying on pain medication.

Osbourne took to social media on July 10, 2023, to provide an update on his health and its impact on his decision to perform. He initially planned to return to the stage in the summer of 2024. However, an opportunity arose to play at the California Power Trip Festival in October 2023, prompting him to move forward optimistically.

Unfortunately, Osbourne now reveals that he won’t be able to perform in October after all. “My body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet,” he stated, emphasizing his unwillingness to deliver a subpar performance after nearly five years.

Despite his absence, Osbourne ensures that the show will go on, with a replacement band to be announced shortly. He assures fans that they won’t be disappointed as the selected band comprises close personal friends of his.

Osbourne concluded his statement by expressing gratitude for his supporters’ unwavering loyalty and support.

Having suffered a fall in 2019 resulting in a fractured spine and subsequent surgery, Osbourne remains determined to return to the stage. However, he acknowledges the possibility of retirement, stating, “I mean, if I could tour, I’d tour. But as of now, I’m unable to schedule tours because I doubt my ability to execute them.”

Do you think Osbourne will regain enough health to perform again, or do you believe his touring days are over?
