Bullying is never acceptable, whether it happens to a child at school or an adult in the workplace.
Evan Hill from New Zealand had a challenging childhood due to the taunting and bullying he endured because of his unusually large front teeth.
Bullies targeted him because of his dental appearance, labeling him “rabbit boy” due to his prominent front teeth.
His oversized front teeth not only made him a target for teasing and harassment but also posed health issues.
They caused difficulties in fully closing his mouth, among other concerns. Evan’s parents were unable to afford the necessary surgery to help their son.
Then, an article about Evan’s dental challenges was published in a magazine, touching many hearts.
People from his community and across the country showed overwhelming support for him.
The outpouring of love for Evan prompted strangers to start a GoFundMe campaign to assist him in covering the costs of the life-changing surgery he desperately needed.
“We wouldn’t have made it to where we are today without the generosity we received,” Evan’s mother shared with Newshub.
Five years after Evan’s initial ordeal made headlines, the time finally arrived.
Through the private donations of hundreds of strangers, the entire cost of the procedure was covered.
Excess funds were donated to a charity to help other disadvantaged children receive dental care.
Following the surgery, Evan could smile confidently without feeling self-conscious about his teeth.

No one should endure bullying based on their appearance. I’m glad Evan was able to undergo the cosmetic surgery he desired.
