Shocking footage shows a vicious thug pummeling cops and cabin crew members on a flight from the UK to Turkey this weekend.
The spectacle drew terrified screams from other passengers, including a little girl who can be seen covering her face with her hands before she is comforted by her mother.
Footage shows the rowdy Easyjet passenger, wearing a green and white striped Celtic Football Club shirt, wildly throwing punches at flight attendants who are trying to detain him as the flight landed just after 8 p.m. Saturday.
The incensed man can be heard shouting, “You’re a f—ing f—y” while pointing at another passenger, the Daily Record reported.
According to the paper, passengers said the soccer fan was causing a disruption throughout the flight, which took off from Edinburgh hours earlier.
“Before it all kicked off, an air hostess had to hold him down for a good 20 minutes,” the passenger said.
Airline crew members also found an empty 24-ounce bottle of vodka.
“There was a cheer at the front of the plane when someone found out the result” of the Celtic soccer match, the passenger said.
Celtic — one of Scottish soccer’s most infamous teams — beat Aberdeen on penalty kicks to advance to the Scottish Cup final on Saturday.
The witness added: “Another boy told the guy that he was a disgrace to the [Celtic jersey], and that’s when he just lost it.”
The hooligan then jumped out of his seat, seemingly trying to punch a Turkish cop and an airplane crew member as other passengers tried to intervene in the fight.
Video of the altercation shared online showed a terrified little girl in pigtails, sitting about three rows behind the brawl, panicking as the man tries to shove his way out of the seat past authorities.
The girl appeared to be antsy, moving around in the seat while covering her face with her hands, before her mother pulled her onto her lap, where she can be seen watching the brawl play out.
The man continued trying to throw punches as he moves toward the aisle of the plane, eventually falling to the floor.
But even that didn’t stop him — he continued to throw punches on the floor.
Passengers can be seen poking their heads out into the aisle, trying to catch a glimpse of the unruly traveler.
One woman screamed as the man threw his final swings.
As the violent outbreak was brought to an end, the mother can be heard telling her child, “It’s all right, baby. It’s OK.”
A second clip shared online showed the man handcuffed by police and being dragged up the aisle and out of the plane.
He appeared to have several scratches across his face and was singing, to which the person videotaping simply states: “Embarrassing.”
A spokesperson for Easyjet confirmed the fight, noting police had to get on the flight as it landed due to disruptive passenger behavior.
“EasyJet’s crew are trained to assess and evaluate all situations and to act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of passengers is not compromised at any time. Whilst such incidents are rare we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior,” the airline said.
“The safety and wellbeing of all our customers and crew is always our highest priority.”
