Holy Smokes: Conor McGregor Accused of Sexually Assaulting Woman at NBA Finals Game

Conor McGregor, the biggest money-making star in mixed martial arts history, has been accused of sexually assaulting a woman at Game 4 of the NBA Finals in Miami on June 9th. The victim’s attorney, Ariel Mitchell, alleges that McGregor “violently sexually assaulted and battered” her in a VIP men’s bathroom at Kaseya Center.

According to the letter written by Mitchell, the victim was physically forced into the bathroom and separated from her friend by McGregor with the help of NBA and Miami Kaseya Center security guards. After allegedly forcing the victim into multiple sexual acts, the victim escaped after continuously elbowing McGregor.

The victim immediately contacted law enforcement after the alleged assault, and the Miami Police Department is currently investigating the case. The victim has also accused the NBA and Miami Heat security of aiding and abetting McGregor in the alleged assault.

McGregor’s attorney, Barbara Llanes, denies the allegations, stating that “Mr. McGregor will not be intimidated.” The UFC issued a statement saying they are aware of the allegations against McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. The NBA and Miami Heat also acknowledged the woman’s allegations in statements, saying they are conducting full investigations and withholding further comment until the outcome of the investigations.

This is not the first time McGregor has been accused of sexual assault. He has faced four previous allegations outside the United States, although he has not faced any legal punishment, and at least one case was dropped.

Aside from the sexual assault allegations, McGregor made headlines during the NBA Finals game for punching the Miami Heat mascot Burnie twice during a skit to promote a recovery spray. The actor playing Burnie had to be hospitalized after the incident.

As of now, the investigation into the sexual assault allegations against McGregor is ongoing.
