Florida Highway Patrol Searching for Couple Wanted for Assaulting Driver After Minor Collision
In the Tampa area, witnesses claim that a man and a woman are being sought by the Florida Highway Patrol for a supposed attack on a driver who collided with their car and fled the scene, leaving the duo enraged and on the hunt.
The incident occurred at around 5 pm on Tuesday, near the convergence of US 301 and Martin Luther King Boulevard, according to police reports. The couple, who appeared to be infuriated by the collision, could be seen in a viral video bashing a 2019 Chevrolet car, with the man screaming at the driver to exit the vehicle.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man allegedly wielded a firearm while attempting to shatter the car’s glass, and at least one bullet was fired at the witness before they began recording the video. The chaotic scene was described by an eyewitness who heard the commotion and rushed to the site, where she was informed by the videographer that the driver of the Chevrolet had struck the couple’s car before leaving the scene.
She implored the couple to refrain from assaulting the driver and instead contact the authorities. “Hey, call the police!” she yelled out the window. “You’re going to prison. Stay out of prison!”
