The circumstances surrounding his death remain murky, as not enough of the body was present to determine a cause or manner of death. However, a hangman’s noose was found nearby, adding a layer of eerie uncertainty to the case.
In the words of Sheriff James Slaughter, “It’s a sad day for everyone involved. We were all hoping to bring Allen home safe and sound. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. We will continue to investigate this matter and bring closure to his family.”
