Houston Police on the Hunt for Shooter Who Fled Scene on Bicycle After Argument

In the Spring Branch area of Houston, Texas, a manhunt is underway for a suspect who allegedly shot a driver and fled the scene on a bicycle after an argument on Long Point Road near Wirt Road. The shooting occurred at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Houston Police Department (HPD) officials are still trying to determine whether the shooting was a random attack.

The incident took place in a bustling area, and HPD has revealed that they are examining video footage from nearby businesses. When HPD officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a man dead inside his vehicle, which had sustained a gunshot wound.

According to investigators, the victim had been in a physical altercation with the suspect in the parking lot of a post office, which then escalated into a fatal shooting. After the shooting, the suspect fled the scene on a bicycle, leaving the victim to die.

At this point, law enforcement authorities are unsure if the two individuals knew each other or if their argument had any particular motive. Detective Stephens, who is investigating the case, stated, “The individual on foot shot at the individual in the truck, and unfortunately, that individual lost their life tonight.”

It has been reported that the wounded driver attempted to flee the scene but eventually crashed into a telephone pole. The suspect, described only as a taller man wearing a white T-shirt, is still at large, and no arrests have been made yet. The HPD is asking anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.
